04/29/2011 -- Celebrating Little Moments
The Silver Heron Gallery in Depoe Bay, Oregon, will host its spring exhibition on April 29th, entitled, "Celebrating Little Moments & Little 'Scapes." Pacific Northwest artist, Julie Hill, creates small (6"x6" and 5"x7") watercolor paintings on Arches paper and mounted on museum board. Each creation comes with its very own miniature easel for display (no framing is needed). Pulled by the desire to capture nature's beauty and precious relationship moments, Ms. Hill has found a way to turn the once elusive and timid character of watercolor paintings into an unabashed exploration of color and shapes. She calls it "Capturing Life with Brushstrokes."
The Artist Palate wine-tasting salon on the Silver Heron's mezzanine will host a champagne and hors d'oeuvre meet and greet for Ms. Hill from 1:00 p.m. until closing on Friday, April 29th. The exhibition will continue through the month of May. Join us as we welcome Spring!
