Stanley "Sandy" Proctor

In recent years, native Floridian Sandy Proctor was the Featured Master Sculptor at the Easton Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland; the Southeastern Art Exposition in Charleston, South Carolina; and the Wildlife Arts Festival in Thomasville, Georgia. Prior to concentrating in bronze sculpture, Sandy was an accomplished painter and stone carver whose work has been displayed at the British Museum of Natural History, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Smithsonian, and other museums of national and international recognition.

Sandy has installed numerous commissioned monumental bronzes. Significant pieces are located at the White House, the corporate headquarters of Bank of America, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin; the Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland, Florida; and the Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Sandy has been featured Wildlife Art Magazine, Sporting Classics, and Southeastern Wildlife Exposition.

The National Sculpture Society has awarded W. Stanley Proctor's sculpture "Seychelles" the prestigious American Artists Professional League Award for the best work depicting traditional realism in 2004.
