My sculptures emerge from within and beyond-from my soul, my Muse, and the spirit of the piece itself. My job when I sculpt is to open to the pulsing flow-of-life message that unfolds during the co-creative process. The lessons I've learned from studying art and living in both the United States and Japan have led me to clarify and strive to achieve the following goals when I create with clay: to expand traditional bronze-sculpture concepts; to be true to my earthy, fluid, sensual style; to utilize flowing lines, abstract shapes, and the combination of gems and bronze to celebrate the elegance of nature, the beauty of form, the re-emergence of Feminine energy, the connectedness of the Universe, and the Sacred nature of the eternal.
