Jan excels in both oil and Pastels and is a member of several prestigious organizations. She has been represented by several galleries and is currently in Valley Art Gallery in Forest Grove, Oregon.
"My desire is that my paintings are an expression of the beauty and mystery that I sense all around this world. I sense the hand of a more powerful Being behind the physical world that surrounds us. If I see something that excites me, I am inspired to paint it, to capture the excitement. Whether my subject is Landscape, flowers, animals or a human, though so different from each other are one in the same expression of this power. I feel my paintings fall under realism and in a world leaning toward abstraction I hope a viewer can feel my excitement and get a glimpse of my outlook on life and how beautiful it is. "
