Creating one-of-a-kind dichroic jewelry is a labor of love for me. I have always been an artist at heart. As a child I thoroughly enjoyed using the wood-burning tools that Santa brought one year for Christmas. As I grew older, I broadened my interests and skills to include embroidery, crewel and sewing my own clothes. Then my children came along; I became a professional for a Swiss pharmaceutical company for 24 years, a consultant for a French company for 3 years, eventually a grandmother of 7 and then found myself retired with a longing to return to my creative roots.

Early in 2007 I trained with Teresa Kowalski of Kowalski Studios, Newport, Oregon. Teresa taught me to appreciate the beauty of dichroic glass and the basics of jewelry creation. I became fascinated with the glorious colors and textures of dichroic glass and a seemingly endless opportunity to fashion it into gorgeous dichroic fused glass jewelry. Many consider my jewelry to be pieces of art; entirely my own creations and designs.

N.A.S.A developed dichroic glass for use on satellite mirrors. Jewelry makers soon discovered dichroic glass and its fascinating color characteristics.

When you hold a piece of dichroic glass, light rays bend in a wonderful play of color. You see two different colors if you look at the same glass from different angles. This is what makes my jewelry so exquisite and unique.
